The evil press!

I often sit in the train and see people just reading those free papers. I cannot understand what people can glean from reading printed information on mainly rubbish about peoples shoes or what star has fallen from grace. maybe people read this stuff to make them selfs feel better about arms dealing or drug running by the government?
